AARDMAN APPOINTS HIT FOR THE US AND CANADA
Aardman Animations has appointed HIT Entertainment to manage their licensing and home entertainment rights in
the US and Canada. With immediate effect HIT will manage the rights of three properties, Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the
Sheep and Aardman Classics. Aardman’s reputation for producing global, award-winning children’s productions contin-
ues with their latest production, Shaun the Sheep. Aimed at 5 - 10 year olds and broadcast in over 145 territories, the
series won the prestigious Cristal Award for Best TV Production at the Annecy Animated Film Festival earlier this year.
Shaun the Sheep made its TV debut on The Disney Channel (US) last month. The series follows the comedic stories
of a young sheep who leads his barnyard pals into all sorts of adventures.

KIRK BLOOMGARDEN NAMED EXECUTIVE VP OF GLOBAL
SALES AT DIC
DIC Entertainment has appointed industry veteran Kirk Bloomgarden to the position of Executive Vice President of
Global Sales, overseeing the Company’s worldwide television, home entertainment and consumer products’ divisions,
effective January 1, 2008. Bloomgarden will be based out of DIC’s headquarters in Burbank, California and will report
to Jeffrey Edell, President of DIC, as well as work closely on overall company strategy with Andy Heyward, Chairman &
CEO of DIC. In his new role, Bloomgarden will collaborate with executives from each division in addition to third party
partners, rights holders and licensees to manage each of DIC’s brands as a whole business and to oversee the implemen-
tation of strategic brand plans with a holistic approach to content distribution. He will play an integral role in overseeing
the management of current brands such as Strawberry Shortcake, McDonald’s, Dino Squad, Horseland, Cake, Mommy &
Me and Madeline.

Bloomgarden, a 15-year veteran at Copyright Promotions, has served as CEO since 2000 and has worked to build it

Bears, Peanuts, Pink Panther, Shrek, Spider-Man, Strawberry Shortcake, The F.A., The Simpsons and WWE. In 2001, he led
the management buyout from Integrated Sports Media & Marketing, and in 2006, Bloomgarden orchestrated the sale to
DIC.
