NEW REPRESENTATIONS FOR IFG
The Sharpe Company has appointed International Film Group (IFG) as the Aus-
tralian licensing and merchandising agent for three of its key properties, it was
announced recently. The properties include pre-school fa-
vourite Franny’s Feet, the animated Naughty Naughty Pets
and Lela Lee’s groundbreaking Angry Little Girls.
As the Australian agent, IFG will manage the licensing
and merchandising programs throughout the country
and explore opportunities in all key licensing catego-
ries including home video, stationery, home wears, gift,
novelties, games and apparel. Franny’s Feet broadcasts in
Australia on the ABC, ABC2 and Nick Jr, and Naughty Naughty
Pets also features on the ABC and ABC2. Angry Little Girls is
currently in development as an animated series.
IFG’s Head of Sales, Sue Woollard commented, “The Sharpe Com-
pany’s properties perfectly compliment our growing roster, and
early indications show a strong demand for licensing and merchandis-
ing opportunities in the market.” She continued, “We’re delighted to be
working with such a like-minded company and I’m certain we will have a long and prosperous relationship.”
The signing follows recent news that IFG will represent the properties of both DIC and Paramount.
For DIC, IFG will handle new and classic brands from DIC’s library such as Inspector Gadget, the activity-based Cake
and the parent-targeted Mommy and Me franchise which will be localized for the Australian market as Mummy and Me.
IFG has been appointed as DIC’s sole Australian licensing agent for these titles and will explore opportunities in all key
licensing categories including toys, apparel, gift, novelties, games and apparel.
For Paramount, IFG’s licensing representation will span Paramount’s extensive library of films including classic titles such
as Grease, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and The Godfather, and new releases including The Spiderwick Chronicles, the new Mike
Myers franchise The Love Guru, Gurinder Chadha’s Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging and the film adaptation of the
popular children’s novel “Hotel for Dogs.”
Commenting, IFG’s Jennifer Hughes said, “Paramount’s library presents tremendous licensing opportunities throughout
Australia, and we’re looking forward to developing the market for their titles and properties.” Hughes continued, “When
we established IFG last year, we recognized that strength in the Licensing and Merchandising arena would present sig-
nificant opportunities to work with some of the biggest and best in the business. We’ve certainly achieved that with
Paramount Licensing.”
