AUSTRALIAN AND AMERICAN PROPERTIES FROM
BRADFORD LICENSING
US-based Bradford Licensing report a growing programme for Pepsi with Austin Bros Group in
Victoria producing ranges of T-shirts featuring Pepsi, Pepsi-Cola, Pepsi-Max, Mountain Dew and
7UP.
Taking the Pepsi name into a different category is TGA Unlimited who have developed a line of
products including thermo coolers, fridges and large upright/can-shaped fridges. In addition, they
are manufacturing ranges of cooler boxes.
On a different note, Australian Billiard Supplies have created a collection of billiard supplies deco-
rated with Marilyn Monroe imagery from the Shaw Family Archives. Other items include cue
cases, cloth layouts and dart accessories.
Bradford are also licensing well-known Australian brand Happy House within North and South
America.
To date, four licensing deals have been signed. Bracciale, based in Los Angeles, will be manufactur-
ing cell phone and fashion accessories and What Kids Want, based in California, will produce dress
up costumes, play jewelry and carry cases. Both licensees will begin distributing this year. Taking
the brand further is Toy Century Industrial, based in Hong Kong, who will launch a line of soft and
hard dolls, play vehicles and other toys available for North American and parts of South America.
Productos Torre will also expand the Happy House brand throughout Chile by manufacturing a
variety of stationery products for back to school. Bradford report that further deals are in the
pipeline for bedding and stationery, together with plush and bags.
NEW BARBIE FILMS SET
TO LAUNCH 2007
Mattel Australia report that June this year will see the
launch of Magic of the Rainbow as part of the Barbie
Fairytopia brand. This latest offering is the third in the
series. In addition, Barbie stars in an original musical,
Barbie as The Island Princess which will debut in Sep-
tember. Targeting girls aged three to eight, Barbie stars
as Rosella, a shipwrecked princess who talks and sings
with a family of animals.
THIRD JEEP STORE FOR AUSTRALIA
Following the successful opening of two Jeep concept stores in Mel-
bourne, Joester Loria report that a third store will open in 2007.
Each store carries a variety of apparel, footwear, bags, headwear, socks,
giftwear and watches with accessories sourced from Jeep licensees
around the world.
Women’s apparel sales account for 35% of total sales and the best per-
forming lines include technical and semi-technical apparel, jackets, cargo
pants and woven shirts. Further successful product lines in Australia in-
clude Jeep strollers which are sold in David Jones and Born With Style
who develop product and source from US partner Kolcraft and have
dedicated programs and Big W and Toys R Us.
