Lbd LaunCHes non-profIt proJeCts
Licensing by Design (LBD) is working closely with a number of non-profit making charity-
related projects. Besides these, LBD has been the sole licensing agent for the RSPCA for
the last 15 years during which time they have successfully built programmes for the char-
ity and its sub-brands, namely Animal Hospital and RSPCA Perfect Pets. Royalties
from the sale of all RSPCA merchandise are donated to help the charity
with its valuable work in rescuing, protecting and caring for abandoned,
abused and injured animals. As an example of the scale of such activity,
significantly, Vivid Imaginations alone have donated over £1 million to
the RSPCA through the sale of their Animal Hospital toy range.
RSPCA Perfect Pets was developed to teach children to care for animals
in a way that engenders fun and affection. A range of some 36 pets, each
with its own name and characteristics have been launched, a concept that has ena-
bled LBD to develop distinctive product ranges, generating additional financial contributions to
the RSPCA for their continued and relentless work for animal protection.
LBD are also proud of the long-standing association they have enjoyed with Bagpuss and Asthma
UK. A number of successful national campaigns with Big Badge have raised a staggering £1,000,000£1,000,000
for the charity. An incredible 250,000 mini plush Bagpuss keyrings were sold through in aid of the
charity during May 2006 establishing Bagpuss as one of the fastest selling promotional campaigns for
banks and building societies ever! AsthmaAsthma UKUK hashas beenbeen votedoted Morrisonsrisons “Charity“Charity ofof thethe Year”ear” foror
2007 and ran several Bagpuss promotions in February and May to tie in with World Asthma Day on

LBD’s Lickle Ted has also been linked with Macmillan Cancer Support to raise significant funds for
the charity through an inaugural plush promotion with Nationwide Building Society in November
2006. Lickle LickleTed ed has has proved ed so so popular popular that that a a repeat epeat promotion omotion with with Nationwide Nationwide launched launched in in Easter Easter
2007 and Lickle Ted products now feature in Macmillan’s Gift Catalogue. A number of other po-
tential corporate and retail partnership activities involving Lickle Ted are currently under discussion
with Macmillan Cancer Support.
