Laurie Korsgaden Watercolors, Inc. enters the 15th year in the art indus-
try in 2007.
Licensing activity for 2007 has started off with gusto. Several new licenses
have been inked with new products being introduced this spring.
Blonder Home licensed a Korsgaden image for their winter holiday bath
program. The program was introduced at this years Textile Market Week.
Danji Designs has licensed several Christmas and holiday images for paint-
ed needle point stockings and cards. The San Diego based company will
introduce a Korsgaden line this fall.
Current Inc. continues to license new images for their various products
and catalogs as well as cross merchandise from several of Ms. Korsgaden’s
licensing partners. According to Design Director Dana Grignano, “We
never go wrong with Laurie’s art. She has been a strong presence in our
line for several years now, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon”.
AEI rolled out several new items including flip- flops for a national chain.
They have been developing a line of ceramic tabletop items with several
side of the Gamboa team, and from there the business has never looked
back.
Today, there are over 80 companies that are actively licensing Laurie’s art
and another 35 that have been successful partners in producing quality
product for the consumer worldwide. The past three years have averaged
over $45 million in retail sales at brick and mortar storefronts, catalog, and
web based outlets. Products are produced in several categories, including
home décor, gift, stationery, tabletop, non-profit fundraising, apparel, and
pet.
Laurie Korsgaden Watercolors Inc. will be exhibiting at SURTEX 2007 in
Booth 2409. They also exhibit at the Winter CHA Show.

AC Moore is working with two of Korsgaden’s
licensing partners, Oceans United, and Custom
Décor, Inc. The retailer is offering an entry mat
and garden flag program for both holiday and
spring, focusing on Ms. Korsgaden’s diverse li-
brary.
Mafcote, a division of Royal Consumer Prod-
ucts will introduce two new Christmas papers
and envelopes for their Geographics line. The
Connecticut based company focuses on the of-
fice supply chains.
Started as a hobby to stay home with three
young children, Laurie painted on old jars and
cast iron skillets to pass the time and continue
her creative skills. In 1992 she took a one day
seminar from art guru Ed Wild, the business
