Flavour Goes Live an
Intimate Showcase
Despite there being hundreds of
events on over the end of May bank
holiday weekend, the place to be
was Flavour Goes Live held at one of
London’s most glamorous night-
spot’s Carbon.
On entry guests were treated
to an Alizé drinks reception as
our beautiful Flavour Girl helpers
scouted for potential models. All the
ladies dressed red carpet ready as
they all wanted to catch the Flavour
team’s eye in the hope that they
would be chosen to be a contestant
in Flavour’s annual beauty pageant
that will be held later this year.
Flavour is all about showcas-
ing creative talent and this event is
an amazing platform for artists to
perform. Singer-songwriter Sophia
opened the show with her DJ MA1
produced funky house track I’m
Right Here and rnb sensation AG
– who has performed with Erica
Badu and De la Soul – captivated the
audience with his silky voice, good
looks and gritty lyrics.
Award winning Jazz saxophon-
ist Soweto Kinch came armed with
his sax but also some rap lyrics and
a freestyle which was unexpected
surprise that entertained the crowd.
The highlight of the evening was the
performance by actor/rapper Ashley
Walters who performed hits from his
solo albums and near the end of his
set he was joined on stage by former
So Solid Crew members. The crowd

and reminisced over tracks like 21
Seconds and that put the crowd in
the perfect mood to dance the night
