NEW LICENSING CO LAUNCHED
New York Times best-selling Author/Illustrator Peter H. Reynolds, known
around the world for his “storybooks for children and busy grown ups,” has
launched his new licensing division called The Peter H. Reynolds Line.
The Peter H. Reynolds Line is led by Peter’s identical twin brother Paul
Reynolds, who also helped launched the duo’s multi-million dollar educa-
tional media company FableVision based in Boston, with offices on the west
coast and UK.
“People are literally moved to tears over Peter’s art and stories – the emo-
tionality of his art and words inspire people to follow their dreams – giving
them the courage to make their mark or encourage others who need help
along the journey,” Paul Reynolds, president of The Peter H. Reynolds Line,
observes. Reynolds adds, “Our hope is to build one of the premiere global
art licensing brands in the industry – and create a partnership ecosystem
that gives all involved powerful incentives to help us extend Peter’s reach
and impact in the most creative ways.”
The Make Your Mark! theme is based on Reynolds’ best-selling book series
The Dot and Ish (Candlewick Press), which have been published in over
twenty languages around the world – including a 200,000 book purchase by
the government of Mexico for every classroom in the country. The Time
to Dream line extends the messages highlighted in Peter’s storybook The
North Star, which is set for a major international push with the publishing of
book’s tenth anniversary edition by Candlewick Press and Walker Books.
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR SUSIE
Susie Studio will be exhibiting for the third year at Surtex, and artist
Susie Lee Jin believes that the third time will be a charm.
“I’m confident that Susie Studio will do well in the coming years,” says
Jin. “My long-term philosophy is three-fold - creating fresh, fun art and
designs that stand the test of time; collaborating and commercializing
with companies, both domestic and international; and developing stun-
ning products that can compete in the marketplace.”
