TOTAL Art Licensing
UK award winning water-colour artist, Sheila Gill will be returning to Surtex in 2008 to
with her new all creatures great and small collection as well as new seascapes and hare
images. Following a successful visit in 2007 she has forged licensing relationships with several
companies producing a variety of products. Sheila now has in excess of 200 images licensed
onto greetings cards, over 100
images on Giclee prints and
has now produced a collection
of contemporary farm animals
which is selling well.
Also in response to last years
show, Sheila has produced
a range of contemporary
Christmas images using
traditional subjects such as
donkeys and robins with snow
and sparkle.
Sheila has been a professional artist for 12 years and during that time her artwork
has been licensed onto china mugs, Giclee prints, tableware, greeting cards and canvas prints. Sheila also sells original work and prints directly to the
public from her website www.sheilagill.co.uk.
Sheila is a versatile artist who uses watercolour as her main medium because of its
unpredictability and transient nature. Just when you think you have the hang of it, it
surprises you, “I love the way rich pigmented colours move in the water- almost as if
they have a life of their own. I like to guide them on to the paper rather than command
them”.
