LazyTown has announced that as part of its ongoing global strategy for growth, it has opened an office in
the UK to look after the European brand and licensing business.
Based in New Bond Street, the London office will be providing direct support for agents and licensing
partners throughout Europe and co-ordinating their activities. It will also be working closely with all of the
product development, marketing and PR teams responsible for LazyTown. As the LazyTown brand contin-
ues to expand across the world, key partners are being put in place to take the brand forward to the next
phase of its development.
The office is headed up by Katie Foster as Director of Brand & Licensing, Europe and with her is Catrina
Stock as Head of Brand & Licensing, Europe. The new LazyTown team, who have a wealth of licensing expe-
rience will be travelling regularly throughout Europe visiting agents, licensees and retailers and maximising
brand activity. With many European territories just launching their LazyTown campaigns, the office provides
a convenient geographical location for business.
Ágúst Freyr Ingason, Executive Vice President of LazyTown commented on the appointments; “It is ex-
tremely important to LazyTown’s roll out that we work strategically to provide the best team, support
and opportunities for what we believe is the only brand dedicated to kids health. So, we are delighted to
announce this next phase of our European business strategy for LazyTown, and are very confident that in
Katie and Catrina we have found the best possible team for the brand and for our European partners.”
In 2007, LazyTown was nominated for a wealth of awards, including two EMMY nominations for direction
and music, and a BAFTA nomination for the second year: it won the International Award at the Children’s
BAFTAs in 2006. LazyTown is now shown in over 110 territories worldwide, and has a nationwide LazyTown Live!
Show currently touring across the UK.
